We’ve been asked a lot lately for a few new No-Heat Curl methods. This curl technique is certainly not new, but definitely one of the easiest ways to set curl to your hair without using any heat.
Today we are going to show you how to create Plopping Curls {or Plunking Curls}, obviously because the vital step is to plop your hair into a t-shirt, and then tie it up. Whenever I go for no-heat curls, I always add a curl-defining mousse our serum to help lock in the texture. Use what you are comfortable with, but it’s certainly not necessary.

I am sure pretty much everyone has a spare t-shirt lying around, and I am also certain that everyone showers and sleeps! Those really are the only ingredients necessary to get these beautiful loose curls!
It’s important to begin with your hair slightly more than damp, not “dripping” wet. You’ll quickly find that if the hair was too wet when you plop them, your curls may not turn out. {If needed, refer back to the video to see how wet I had my hair.}
Items Needed: Damp hair, curl defining mousse, 1 t-shirt, dry shampoo, if desired.
Time Requirement: 2 minutes plopping & styling {not including overnight drying}

This hairstyle is perfect for girls of all ages, and really any occasion. It’s particularly ideal for thoe Saturday nights, with our daughters or yourself, to make Sunday mornings easier before heading to church! Simply add in an accent braid, and it would look like you spent two hours on your hair. Prepare for compliments!
